The story of this piece
A study in salvage. Each ear is built on a hand-cut disc of black canvas, embroidered in raw silver thread — one a stitched lattice, one a concentric maze, neither symmetrical to the other. The drops are unmatched on purpose: a slab of veined quartz on the left, a smaller chip on the right. Frayed silk fibers radiate from each disc, left untrimmed.
Specimen pieces are one of one. Pattern stitches are drawn freehand, never repeated. Once entered into the archive, this pair is closed.
